How to Map Your Podcast Sponsorship Inventory (Complete Guide)

Your podcast studio is full of sponsorable real estate — and most creators are leaving money on the table by not mapping it.

Every surface your audience sees is potential inventory. The monitor behind you. The branded mug you drink from. The backdrop you set up. Your laptop lid. Your microphone stand. Even the books on your shelf.

Start by reviewing your last three episodes with fresh eyes. Pause at the 5-minute mark, the 15-minute mark, and the midpoint. What does the viewer see? What surfaces are in frame? How long do they appear?

Next, document each surface: name it, measure approximate screen time per episode, estimate brand visibility (clear vs. partially obscured), and rate prominence (primary, secondary, background).

Price each slot based on audience size, engagement rate, and surface prominence. A primary logo placement on a 32" monitor that's visible for 15 minutes per episode in a 250K-view channel is worth significantly more than a background prop.

Once mapped, you have an inventory. List it. Let brands see it. The rest takes care of itself.
